Season's Greeting from the Tarns

Happy New Year!

Wishing you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It is Christmas time again. Some people say the older you get the faster the time passes by. However, we would like to think that we feel this way is because of the busy schedule we had for year 2007.

Fei and Tony went to San Francisco For Caroline's Wedding

We attended Fei’s niece Caroline's wedding in San Francisco in June. The Tarn’s family got another chance to have a reunion. Jeff and Jennifer were there right after their honeymoon in Hawaii. It was a wonderful event.

Fei and Tony's South America Trip

In November, Fei and Tony went to Chile and Argentina for an expedition tour. The main spot we visited is Patagonia which is the south most part of the South America. We also got on to Cape Horn which is referred to as “beyond the end of the world”.

This was not a leisure trip and it was sort of an adventure trip. The places we went to have nobody living there except us and wild animals. Glaciers and wild vegetation were some of the main attractions.

When we got to Buenos Aries, we were able to see some of the best Argentina Tango dance performances.

It was a memorable vacation.

Terry made Several Trips to Visit Grandpa Tarn

Whenever Terry had chance of visiting his old company's (TI) headquarter in Dallas, he swung by Houston to visit Grandpa.

He visited Houston in June and was able to see Fei and Tony's new house while they were walking thru the house.

In addition, Terry, Anne and Jonathan are here for X'mas with Grandpa and the family now.

Tsang's family's Visit

Jia-sun, Alfred and Maggie visited Grandpa in August 2007. In addition to the good food and warm visiting, we also established a habit to visit 'Lot 8' (Clothing store) whenever they come to Houston.

Kai and Vivian's Visit

Kai Wang and wife Vivian visited Fei and Tony in Houston this year. The last time they visited Houston was more than 10 years ago. We visited Kemah and had some good food and fun.

Their visit is the best thing happen to us when we have old buddy came over to Housotn.

Fei and Tony Moved

After staying in the same place for 18 years, Fei and Tony finally moved to a new house in June.
It is in the same general area with about 5 minutes drive from the old house.

The new house's address is 144 Whipple Dr., Bellaire, TX 77401. The home phone is still the same 713-728-0188.

Jeff and Jason's Visits

Jeff/Jennifer and Jason/Theresa made several trips back to Houston. Each time they came back, we had lots of catch up and family gathering to do.

Jeff became his own boss earlier and was very busy with his work. Jennifer's lawyer job keeps her very busy.

Jason is going to graduate sometime in next April. Theresa is still busy with her teaching job.

By the way, Jason and Theresa moved to a new place in mid year.

Our Dancing Activities

Fei and Tony were continuously enjoy their ballroom dancing throughout the year. They did a performance in their Sweet Melody Dance Club's party.

They also did a number in another dance party in November.

Vail Ski Trip - Jan 2007

Earlier in the year we went to Vail with some of our ski friends and had a wonderful time. Vail is one of the top ski resort. We were able to ski there only one day last year and we liked it very much.

This time we stayed for longer time and were able to ski for 3 whole days. For some reason, Vail's ski trails were more enjoyable. It must be the design of the trails.

The town and restaurants were nice too. We really had a good time.

Jeff and Jennifer's Wedding - April 7, 2007

The busiest schedule of this year started with Jeff and Jennifer's wedding on April 7, 2007. Jeff and Jennifer have been busy flying back and forth from LA to Houston for wedding planning activities earlier this year. We were worry at the beginning for them due to their remote status.

However, it was proved that we were just parents worrying for nothing. Jeff and Jennifer were able to plan all details, and had a wonderful wedding ceremony.

Due to the facility limitation, they were not able to invite as many guests as they wish. They were only able to accommodate the family members and old family friends who knew them since they were little kids and saw them growing up.

The ceremony was elegant and meaningful, particularly they had Jason and Angie to host the ceremony.
